Burn Bootable Duplicate of a Disc

A disc from which you can boot must be burned specially. Create a bootable duplicate using Disk Utility to make a disk image and then burn a new disc. 1. Launch Disk Utility and mount the CD or DVD 2. Select the disc from Disk Utility's left column 3. Select File>New>Disk Image From name of disc Convert Image dialog box opens 4. From the Image Format popup menu select DVD/CD master 5. Click on Save 6. After Disk Utility has created the image file select Images 7. In the dialog box that appears, select the image file and click on Images>Burn 8. Insert a blank disc when prompted 9. A file with .cdr appended will be burned
