And now, of course, Old Faithful. It erupts on a regular schedule, and cannot be hurried. For a while one sits and stares at a couple of mounds of dirt from which Old Faithful will ultimately erupt. It seems there are a couple of other geysers in close proximity. Old Faithful just has the largest faucet, so to speak. :-) The last picture above is of a new structure at Old Faithful. Just thought I'd archive it! Next I headed for Mt. Rushmore, but thought I'd stop off for a visit to Devil's Tower, made famous by the movie "Close Encounters of a Third kind." Of all the monuments I've been to, Devils Tower has got to be one of the most magnificent! I WILL go there again. Again, there are a lot of shots, but I've reduced their file sizes for quicker loading.

So, did you spot the climbers? There were 8 on the mountain that day. This Pic is reduced for easy loading but if you want to actually see the climbers, drag the picture off onto your desktop and then drop it on your browser window to open in full size!
